Xtreme Elapsed
Time Championshps (XETC)
All the latest talk is about this new competition
of tie-down roping (calf roping). It is
building tremendous momentum with spectators and cowboys alike. The rules of the sport are the same. It is still an extremely athletic event which
requres split-second reflexes from both the roper and the horse. But in XETC shows, there are two chutes and
two calves in one arena. The ropers
compete against each other head-to-head in a tournament style match. This “win or you’re out” style generates
amazing enthusiasm with the crowd and the ropers. Not to mention the previously unthinkable
prize money for which the cowboys are competing. Every big name in the business shows up for
the XETC competitions.
Watch for these exciting XETC events on TV. The most recent XETC event held in Jackson,
